Pistols at Dawn

Will Bennett coaches human actors armed with prosthetic beaks and claws in the art of cockfighting (who are you calling chicken, huh?) for Red Theatre's production of Eric Dufault's Year of the Rooster, opening January 10 at the Frontier.

David Woolley, the de facto resident fight designer for Raven Theatre, will have the benefit of his former students, Sam Hubbard and Joel Reitsma, slugging it out in the cast of William Inge's family drama, A Loss of Roses, opening February 17.

Matt Hawkins will supply the stabbings and strangulations necessary for any good Othello--this one opening February 18 at Chicago Shakespeare Theater and starring James Vincent Meredith as the doomed hero.
